The EBA Society is an exclusive network of real estate agents who are specialized in Exclusive Buyer Agent (EBA) services in the Philippines. The founder of EBA Society is John Remollo Petalcorin, an EBA since 1998, and first in the Philippines. The EBA Society motto is "Emptor Bene Monitus Decipi Non Potest" which means A Well Informed Buyer Cannot be Deceived.
FIRST STEP TO BECOMING AN EBA
You have to be a Certified Buyer Agent (CBA) first before you become an Exclusive Buyer Agent (EBA). The first step to becoming a CBA is to show some sincere interest about the practice of Buyer Agents to the EBA Founder or to any EBA member. The consistency of your desires will be observed for a certain period of time. If the EBAs confirm that you are a Buyer Agent potential, you will be given signal to get yourself a copy of the book titled Buyer Agency Today. You can buy it in the internet or you can ask if the EBA you come in contact with have spare personal copies (they always have).
When you get your own copy of the book, read it, the book is revolutionary, non-traditional, so it is important that you keep an open mind and heart. If you like to become a Buyer Agent after reading the book, just inform the EBA Society Founder that you are interested to get a entry-level Certification. You will be given a short exam FOR FREE, around 50 questions about knowledge that you can learn in The Book. If you pass the exam, you will get the Buyer Agent Certificate (BAC). The BAC is a proof that you are a Certified Buyer Agent (CBA).
In your journey as a new CBA, you will be alone, you are free to do whatever you want, you have no fellow Buyer Agent to support you, you will learn the market the hard way. As you learn the fierce realities of the market, you will be humbled, and you look forward that there are still many more secrets of the trade that you can learn in mentored training or by experience. While you are out there as a new loner CBA, the few members of the EBA Society will observe you, they will talk about you, sometimes they will refer their buyers to you to get feedback on how you perform. They will also refer sellers to you to see if you accept a listing to represent sellers. When they confirm that you are a real CBA in practice, you will soon be invited into the formal EBA Learning Process.
INVITATION TO THE EBA SOCIETY
Membership to EBA Society is by invitation only. Invitation may come after the aspirant completes the EBA Learning Process. Do not worry about the training fees, you will be sponsored by your first anonymous exclusive Client-Buyer.
During the learning process, there are readings, exams, theoretical discussions, practical trials, and real real estate negotiations that will transform the ordinary agent into an EBA. After proving, to the satisfaction of the mentor EBA, that the aspirant is beyond reasonable doubt a faithfully committed EBA, the aspirant will be invited to become a recognized member of the EBA Society.
A new member of the Society is given a Certificate of Membership. Only member of the EBA Society may use the Coat of Arms of the EBA in his/her calling cards, office signs, and letter head. A member may also buy his/her own special wood-engraved Coat of Arms for display purposes.

EBA Learning Process
The EBA Learning Process is a software that is capable of teaching and exam. The software was imported from US (Exam-Software.Com) but the educational content are all originally written by the EBA Society founder, customized and continuously improved to meet the challenging demand of the Philippine business environment. The information and techniques in the EBA Learning Module is futuristic, very advanced, extremely revolutionary, you will learn to anticipate every move of your opponents, competitors, clients, customers in the real market and you will know what technique to use.
The EBA Learning Process is paperless. The student cannot copy the software because it is considered as an REIBS.COM trade secret. The EBA aspirant can only take the EBA Learning modules under the guidance of the EBA Society founder who will personally serve as the proctor and discussant.
The default venue of the EBA Learning Process is in the REIBS.COM office in Malate Manila. However, the student may opt for special arrangement to change the venue to anywhere more convenient as long as he can provide two laptops connected to the internet -- the EBA founder will just bring the software that contains the modules.
The EBA Learning Process covers (twenty) 20 modules. Each module have fifty (50) Questions and Answer (Q&A). Each Q&A is only around one page if printed on paper (see sample Q&A). The first part of each module is you read the entire module, one Q&A at a time. Then after reading, you will take the exam portion, which is basically a scrambled sequence of the Q&A that you have already read.
The exam is simple yet very tricky. The student has to watch out each word that may possibly falsify the statement. Basically, it will test the student's reading comprehension skills and critical thinking. The student will be presented with one Q&A at a time and will tell whether it is TRUE and FALSE.
A student is expected to complete the entire 20 modules in a series of 20 days under the personal guidance, one-on-one mentorship, dedicated coaching, and proctoring of the EBA Founder. The EBA Society Founder can only admit a maximum of 12 students in one year, one student per month.
The passing mark in each module is 100%. The average student can finish one module in two (2) hours, but if he fails, he has to immediately repeat the exam again, up to three (3) times only. The student has a maximum of 6 hours to finish a single module, he can take a recess in between. The learning session will terminate after the student consumes the 3 chances to repeat the exam and still fails. The student who fails will get a refund on the rest of the modules that he didn't see. For example, if a student fails in the 2nd module, he will get a 90% refund.

If 2-person office: $385, 3-person office: $420 (please check out their website for updates).Highly recommended EBA Advance Studies
EBA service is basically procurement service. To continually improve the EBA knowledge in buyer-side negotiation, I highly recommend online training courses and professional certifications of the Next Level Purchasing.
